WELCOME TO the
Habitat Pond
Phase one of The Stephenstown Pond Project officially opened to the public in July 1996. That encompassed the clearance and development works on what today is known as Stephenstown Pond Carp Fishery & Nature Park.

About
The pond provides an oasis for a fascinating variety of native Irish wildlife. There are at least 57 species of tree and shrub present, feeding more than 47 species of bird and a variety of other wildlife such as butterflies, and insects. The pond itself has an average depth of about 2 meters (max. 3.25m) with inflow and outflow, and is stocked with a host of coarse fish.
Day Tickets for fishing are available at the Coffee Dock.
